About Gene

I started off on a very different path: an engineering degree at an Ivy League University with a great internship building helicopters. But along the way, I made a funny discovery: I would much rather serve people than design machines. Since then, my journey has led me to seminary, ordination, and a career serving churches and non-profits.  I also have a passion for the anti-human trafficking movement.

I am blessed with the best wife and three precious little kids. I enjoy golf (my slice is epic), snowboarding, and wearing "dad outfits" (cargo pockets galore).

Origins of Sun Support

I focus on partnering with churches and non-profits to help develop their strategies and support their staffing needs.

Many small churches and non-profit organizations have great visions for transforming their communities. They are dedicated, generous, and sacrificial in the name of their mission - but despite this, many struggle and stagnate.  Some are start-ups encountering growing pains. Others are aging churches, straining to minister to young families. Regardless of their issues, they all deserve a chance to thrive.

This is how Sun Support began. I focus on partnering with churches and nonprofits to help develop their strategies and support their staffing needs. Most organizations already have everything they need to get over the hump - they just need the right kind of backing.

I’m here to join you on this leg of the journey.
